Zircon
Corporation designs, develops, manufactures, and markets

History
Founded
in 1975, Zircon designed and manufactured various electronic
devices before launching a new product category in 1980
with the world's first stud finder, the StudSensor™.
Since then Zircon has turned into an electronic tool powerhouse,
making making numerous improvements to the original tool,
including lighted pointing systems and the ability to find
the center of a stud, as well as creating a wide range of
scanning tools to find everything from studs to metal to
live electrical. Zircon has garnered many industry awards
and remains the leading manufacturer of stud finders.

Zircon produces highly functional, intuitive, affordable
tools that are designed for a lifetime of rugged use. All
Zircon products are highly proprietary and well protected
by patents.
Manufacturing & Distribution
Zircon¹s expanding customer base is fed by efficient
assembly operations that utilize highly refined technologies
in supplier partnerships, just-in-time inventory, and on-line
integration. In the United States alone, Zircon products
are sold in more than 50,000 retail outlets.
International
Zircon has a network of distributors and sales representatives
covering Canada, Europe, Japan, Korea, Australia and New
Zealand. Instructions and packaging are produced in over
a dozen different languages. Currently, Zircon is also expanding
into additional markets in Asia and South America.
