from the U.S. government but with a different cover.
USING
THE WEB FOR GLOBAL COMMUNICATIONS
A Web site is a must for growing your business overseas.
Customers who surf IMEX.COM are given links to IMEX
members' Web sites and inquiries are made through
members' catalog pages.
QUALIFY
THE PARTNERS YOU FIND ON THE WEB
Care must be taken to insure that the person at the
other end of your deal is a legitimate business partner.
IMEX Exchange, Inc. does not take responsibility for
finding partners or for the deal. We are not in the
trading business. We simply provide information and
tools to help you locate potential partners. We do
not vouch for them in any way. It is up to you to
qualify those people and companies you find. Do your
research.
-
Start with credit rating companies such as Dunn
and Brad Street. IMEX is developing a list of rating
companies by country and will shortly add it to
this site.
- Banks
will help secure payment with Letters of Credit.
- Obtain
references from your prospective partner and check
those references.
Remember,
just because someone has a fancy Web site does not
mean they are a good credit risk. Do your due diligence
before you commit your time and your companies money
to the relationship.
TRADE
LEADS
There
are hundreds of trade lead boards on the Web. Many
are product specific trade leads. Again, IMEX does
not guarantee the deal or the partners found in the
deal. We simply provide information and tools to help
you locate trade leads listed on the Web. We do not
vouch for them in any way. It is up to you to qualify
those people and companies you find. Do your research.
COUNTRIES
We have set up country specific information. Select
a country. Here you will find search engines, CIA
reports, a list of IMEX members who do business in
these countries, and much more.
A
great place to get country marketing reports is the
U.S. Department of Commerce.
IMEX will point you to marketing reports and country
reports as we find them.
COMPANIES
IMEX
will add companies who are located in specific countries
with links to their Web sites as we receive them.
To submit your company, Click

GOVERNMENT
REGULATIONS
We are constantly asked about regulations, permits,
licenses, tariffs and duties. As we progress, we will
add as much material as we can find on the Web to
help you.
